Hello all!

...And Welcome to NRP's resident hub on how to make interesting balloon animals!

Here at NRP we have a background in children's entertainment and like to record our trade secrets for the benefit of mankind! There's nothing like the delighted laughter of children, and here at NRP we like to help you keep them entertained.

For other modelling balloon creations see our other hubs on cats, dogs, swords, guns, snails, viking helmets, bumble bee's and humming birds, Rocking horse's, seahorse's - and the list will expand as time goes on!

Also, if you are new to the Hubpages Community and fancy having a go yourself the relevant pages can be found here!

Otherwise enjoy the hub, good luck though, as the Road Runner is quite a difficult one.

For this one we need three equal bubbles out of this balloon. The best way to measure where your sections should be is by making an 'S' shape prior to twisting.

I to make the Road Runner. when I didn't have the triditional colors, I used any color. In the Fall, I use orange, mocha brown, and goldenrod. Spring, I use lime green, rose, and lilac. Summer, I use green, yellow, and orange. Winter is cold, so I use white, dark blue, and clear.

I start with the body, then I make the eyes. These two parts use the same color. Next I make the plume, and then attach the eyes to the neck. From there, I attach the neck to the body. The feet are next followed by the tail. Then to finish things, the beak.

Now I'm assuming you know how to make the Road Runner. But if you don't, there's instuctions on the internet.

I use only three colors; Yellow for the body and eyes; lime green for the neck and tail; lilac for the feet and beak. Try those colors in that order. If you don't like it, change them around.

When I do the RR, I make it well. In the tutorial, the eyes are too large. When finished, I use a marker to draw the eyes. Make ovals and color them in. They shoulod be the same size...more or less anyway.

I also do popeye, Donald and Daisy ducks, Goofey, etc. Now they must be made in the RIGHT colors.

Happy Twisting,

Barry
