What We've Been up to Recently...

...Been a busy bunch recently.

The last time I posted about a film on here was for Five Days on a Merry-Go-round, and that was quite some time ago!

Well. Last October I wrote a short script of about ten minutes. Nico and I got together and brooded over it for a while, changed a few things, spilt coffee all over the script and eventually took 'Clearance' on to become 'Water Under the Bridge.' The whole thing now lasts about 17 minutes which puts it officially in the short film category and takes us one step closer to the eventual feature length films we will create.

...working on the short film we have also been out and about filming for different bands in Glasgow. A couple of months back it was 'Only Guilty Man' and the last one was the 'Death Metal Tea Party' - which was just as interesting and unique as it sounds - and we are currently editing up an advert for future events for that one!

So, back to the filming...'Water' tells the story of a young woman who is introduced to two men who will change her life forever...One for the better, the other for the worst. Jack and Davey are two workmen who learn Sophie's story as they rifle through her flat. But does the true story make a difference? Will it really change the views and attitudes of others?

We cast the film from our group of actor friends but will be introducing Sean McGuness for the first time, playing Jack.

Filming took place over the end of April and first fortnight in May. Editing ended last week, but we have currently sent one of the particularly windy scenes to our friend the sound tech over at Pro Mobile Recording to see if he can filter out the wind and have since learned our lesson about wind mufflers for the boom.

I do apologize for the current lack of footage to show here - but you fellow hubbers can rest assured that as soon as I can I will amend it so that it is otherwise! Until then I leave you in the knowledge that NRP is still going strong and will hopefully have more to show for it at the end of the month!
